New Color By Le Creuset

Carol Williams-Deacon

Le Creuset has done it again.  They have added another vibrant color to their vast collection of durable cast iron cookware.

The new color called Provence is currently only available at Sur La Table.  It is a blue based purple inspired by the blooming lavender fields in the South of France. The color gradient is quite pleasing. I anticipate that this beauty will be a fast favorite for many with it being a 2018 Spring Pantone color.

Le Creuset has been making enameled cast iron since 1925. The enameled cast iron evenly distributes and retains heat allowing your food to properly boil, bake, roast, braise, simmer or sear. This cookware can be used with any recipe at anytime (winter, spring, summer or fall).  Le Creuset offers a great selection of fashion colors making this cookware not only beautiful but incredibly functional.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when considering your Le Creuset purchase:

If you have been contemplating trying a piece of this enameled cast iron cookware, and do not know which piece to start with, I would recommend the ever so versatile Two-in-One pan (also known as the Marmitout) or the ultra versatile Braiser.

This is a great combination set because you are getting both a fry pan and a saucepan.  The fry pan does double duty acting as a lid or as a frypan.  We all know that the fry pan and the saucepan are the workhorses in most kitchens and this pot-pan combination allows for a diversity of cooking methods (shallow fry, deep fry, sear, saute, braise, roast, broil, bake, boil and barbeque).  There is nothing that cannot be done with Le Creuset cast iron.  Consider visiting your nearest factory outlet to browse these selections and more.  You will not be sorry.
